It’s your girl, Calypso Grier, writing to you from the patio. Watching summer transition to fall down here is best done in the wee hours of the morning when it’s still cool enough to feel like the seasons are changing. Yes, our summers are nearly a yearlong event. By midday, October in Louisiana feels about like July.
But, it’s finally fall and we’ve got some fun fall reads lined up for you! Like a series from Arsen Ward, a full length novel from Sondi Warner and more books from Reatha Beauregard.
Last month, Arsen hit the ground running with Thirst Traps Presents books. He wrote a whopping 3 shorts: Wi-Fi Freaks, The Suburban Wives Sex Club, Sleeping with His Sister. If you missed any of those, then stop what you’re doing and get them. Now! You’re missing a treat!
The man of September, Arsen Ward, returns with 3 new books chronicling the smooth moves of a male main character, a pleasant change from his regular strong female lead.
The Barber has his work cut out for him, mixing business with pleasure and seducing the ladies of his mostly male clientele. But, when he tangles with the wife of a wannabe hustler, he finds out the cuttie might get him killed. Follow the nightlife and tales of Johnson, the Barber.
Sondi Warner’s, Jonquille, gave fans of true love something to celebrate. This emotive story is packed with sensual seduction and an ending that will make your heart melt. Jonquille, a tarot reader from New Orleans, meets Pierce in a bar on Bourbon Street. He’s a man with a list, and he’s running out of time to do what he has to do. She has bad news about the future she sees for him, until she sees herself by his side and realizes they were meant to be together. The cards don’t lie, but nothing’s ever certain until it happens.
Sondi returns to the page with another heartwarming hit. Stay tuned to see what she comes up with next. I would tell you, but at this point I have no idea. I’m as excited as you are to see what it will be.
Our paranormal pen, Reatha Beauregard, is ready to tell us more of Myranda’s story. In Antebellum Soul: Here & Now, we met the lovable main character. Next up is Antebellum: As It Was. There’s so much to tell you about these books. I just don’t want to give the story away. Myranda is finding out her unknown past should probably stay unknown if she doesn’t want her present life to fall apart, but the menacing stranger from Book 1 might have all the answers; she has to trust him with her life. Scary thought!
