4-Hr Writer Challenge

Are you operating under the ‘more is more’ mindset when it comes to your writing, slaving away hour after hour to reach maximum word-count goals?

I’m challenging indie authors, bloggers and content creators to try condensing the heavy writing portion of the workday down to 4 hours to show you how much you can get done when you set goals, track your productivity, avoid distractions and interruptions, and know when to call it quits. For anyone who’s up to the challenge, here’s how you do it:

4-HR WRITER

Don’t forget the 52/17 rule.

If you ante up to the challenge, you’ll begin to notice a trend: Less time agonizing about writing, and more words written. You’ll discover exactly what you’re capable of on your best days and your worst days, and you’ll have the confidence to promise yourself or your clients the best estimate of the time it will take to complete a project. Knowing your capabilities as a writer helps you keep the inner critic at bay so you can ignore the voice of “I can’t” and actually get the job done.

I want to know if this method works for you like it did for me, or if you have any ideas for how to improve it. Submit your comments below or Tweet me @WIRUniverse, #FourHourWriter. Together, we can get it written!
